Running has always been a huge part of my life, my outlet, my anchor, my way of staying connected and grounded. During pregnancy, my biggest concern wasn’t just about staying active, it was about protecting my body for the long term, especially my pelvic floor. I didn’t want to overdo it or risk long-term damage.
That’s why I worked 1:1 with Alex. I needed expert guidance that was tailored to my body and goals. I wasn’t looking for generic advice, I wanted a plan that would keep me strong during pregnancy and set me up for a safe return to running postpartum.
After giving birth, I knew I needed continued support. I didn’t want to guess or push too soon. The Pelvic Floor Strength for Running program gave me a clear roadmap. Physically, it gave me the strength and foundation I needed to run without pelvic floor issues. I learned how to rebuild from the inside out, no shortcuts or guessing.
Mentally, it gave me the reassurance I needed that I was doing the right things. I wasn’t rushing. I was rebuilding properly. That gave me confidence and allowed me to enjoy running again instead of worrying about doing damage.
Since having my son, who’s now 17 months. I’ve run two marathons and an ultra, and even had the privilege of crewing a 100-mile race. But most of all, I now get to share my love of movement with my son through pram runs and outdoor adventures. That’s the greatest gift ever!!
To any runner or active mum unsure about returning postpartum: don’t rush. The right support makes all the difference.
Alex’s program took out all the guesswork and gave me complete confidence that I was doing the right thing for my body, every step of the way. I’m proof that it’s absolutely possible to come back to running comfortably, but following the right steps is the key!
You are not broken. You just need the right plan.
